Justin Moorhouse has announced the death of his son Barney.<\/p>\n

The comedian and actor, 55, took to\u00a0Instagram<\/a>\u00a0on Saturday to confirm the news that his son had died.<\/p>\n

Justin wrote: \u2018It is with the heaviest of hearts I have to tell you our beautiful boy Barney has passed away.<\/p>\n

\u2018Me, his mum and step mum, his sister, cousins, aunts and uncles, grandparents and his gorgeous friends are besides ourselves with grief.<\/p>\n

\u2018I am consoling myself as much as I can knowing that he loved us all and knew we loved him. He was so happy, content and excited about the future. The sweetest, kindest soul.<\/p>\n

\u2018He just went to sleep and didn\u2019t wake up. I can\u2019t imagine how the next days and weeks will unfold but I know we are able to cope \u2013 love always helps.<\/p>\n

I am him and he is me. Sleep tight Barney. Dad x<\/p>\n

\u2018He concluded, saying: \u2018Appreciate your kindness and sensitivity towards the family at this time.\u2019<\/p>\n

Fellow comic John Bishop was among those who paid tribute, writing: \u2018Justin, this is so heartbreaking.\u00a0I remember the kind fun little boy who grew to be a man to be proud of. There are no words. All of our love goes out to all of you at this time.\u2019<\/p>\n

Comic Jessica Fostekew also wrote: \u2018Oh Justin. I can\u2019t begin to imagine the agony you must be in \u2013 sending you all the love and strength in the world. I\u2019m so so so sorry \u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f\u2019<\/p>\n

Marcus Brigstocke wrote: \u2018Justin \u2013 I am so very sorry to read this.
\nWe are sending you all the love in the world my friend. I cannot begin to imagine how hard each minute feels right now. Please \u2013 know you are loved. Xxx\u2019<\/p>\n
